Roland George Chair of Applied Investments
Professor K. C. Ma returned in 2001 to be the Roland George Chair of Applied Investments. He is also now the Director of the Sarah George Investments Institute. Dr. Ma completed his Ph.D. in Finance in 1983 at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He obtained his rank as a Certified Financial Analyst in 1988. Dr. Ma has an extensive background in academics as well as professional background in financial and quantitative research, portfolio management, investment officer, and hedge fund management. He has an equally impressive list of publications within the fields of economics, investing, finance and accounting, futures markets and portfolio management to name just a few. In 1995, Dr. Ma founded KCM Asset Management Group, Inc. He has been Director of Quantitative Research for Ned Davis Research, Inc. and a hedge fund manager for George Weiss Associates, Inc.

James Mallett, Ph.D.
Professor of Finance
Professor James Mallett ha been teaching in the Finance Department at Stetson University since 1984. He is also Director of the Summer Innsbruck Program. Dr. Mallett completed his Ph.D. in Economics at Wayne State University in 1981. Since joining the faculty at Stetson University, James Mallett has concentrated his teaching in investments, money and banking, international finance, and personal finance at the undergraduate level, as well as the MBA program and Innsbruck Study Abroad Program. He sered as Director of the Roland George Investments Program and George Investments Institute for 18 years. Professor Mallett has written articles on investments, financial planning, the economic environment, and Reganomics among others. He has served as panelist and discussant at several financial association annual conferences and presented seminars for local investment clubs and civic groups as well as the Stetson community. Professor Mallett has served on the Orange County, Florida Investments Committee and as advisor to Stetson's University Trustees Investments Committee. James Mallett and former Finance Department chair Andy Lerro researched and formed the national Association of Student Managed Investment Programs.
